I can do a custom portrait of a person, pet, or a landscape of your favorite place if you provide a good quality 5X7 or 8x10 photo of the subject. It will take anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on what else I have in process at the time. Painting is not my fulltime job, I do commissioned work whenever I find the time. I will notify you of what an estimated date will be after the deposit is recieved. Please allow an additional two weeks for shipping. The pricing will be determined by the size and weight of the painting and you will be notified before shipping.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of a confirmed order to cover the materials before the work begins. A Pre-view approval before the painting is finished can be emailed at the halfway point.

- Email or send me a clear, quality photo of exactly what you want. I will first
evaluate the photo and let you know if it is a good candidate for a painting.
- Once the subject is approved, you will need to send in the 25% non-refundable
deposit by cashiers check or money order before any work is begun and you
must mail or fax over the Contract Agreement. (Click below to see the Contract)
- I paint from the photo exactly. (I do not improvise on portraits, ie make
someone smile when they're not in the photo, but I can work with landscapes
a bit more by changing the sky or grass color to match a mood or season you
are looking for. We can also talk about the size of painting and background
you would like on portraits) Each painting is unique and some paintings may vari
in cost and may go up due to either excessive detail or go down if the picture calls
for less detail. These issues will all be discussed prior to starting any work.
- I will email a photo of the preliminary painting for approval. If you decide not
to proceed with the painting, the process will stop, the painting will be held
for seven days and then the canvas will be scrapped. The 25% deposit will
go towards the time and materials already spent.
- If it is decided to proceed with the painting, I will email what the shipping
charge will be and add this to the remaining balance due, once I recieve the
final payment, the portrait will be sent.
*We can also discuss framing options if you would like me to provide
the frame, and I can have either a canvas reproduction or poster
made of your subject at your request for an additional charge.
